This design would work wonderfully well in modern geometric prints; pretty pastels; traditional Christmas colours; Kaffe Fassett Collective brights; metallics or reproduction prints.  Our sample (pictured) was made from the fabulous Alison Glass Holiday range, with an added smattering of Kaffe Fassett Collective, Tula Pink, & Cotton+Steel.
 
The pattern includes *bonus* basic guidelines for a hand crocheted pom pom edging (& a link to a great Youtube tutorial for more detail).  Or, you might prefer to modify the design & sew in ready made pom pom edging or jumbo ric rac.
 
The finished size of the tree skirt is 150cm (59”) wide x 130cm (51”) front to back.
