'Sweet Something' Quilt Along Week Two

Week Two - November 8 (or, join us as soon as you can - late arrivals welcome!)

I hope that this finds you eager to get started on some 'Sweet Something' sewing this week! It's time to start with the framing of our Feature Blocks. We're heading towards what can be the busier time of year so the pace I've set is slow & steady. As mentioned last week, if that's not your style & you want to do more, then by all means go for it. If you're happy to plod along with me, then great. And if you want to "move at a glacial pace" (a quote from one of my favourite movies, 'The Devil Wears Prada') then I am all for that too! So, that being said, let's get Week Two underway!

This week's Instagram homework:

1. search our hashtag (#sweetsomethingquilt), then like & comment on each other's posts; say hello & start a conversation - the great thing about QAL's is the opportunity to connect with other quiltmakers from around the world, learn new ideas & share tips

2. style a picture & tell us about your ideal #sweetsomethingquilt time - are you tucked away in a sewing room with a good podcast & a cup of herbal tea? Or, are you grabbing a few moments in the corner of a busy family room, surrounded by happy noise? Perhaps you're a late night sewer with a glass of bubbles & some Netflix for company?

This week's 'Sweet Something' target:

1. fill some bobbins in readiness - this is a great project for using up your odds & sods thread

2. tend to your machine - clean & oil, & consider changing the needle

3. this week's aim is to complete the frames on ten of your Feature Blocks, as per the pattern instructions
